Lääne-Viru county is located in Nothern-West Estonia (100 km from the Estonain capital, Tallinn; 120 km from east border in Narva). Lääne-Viru county is the fifth most populated county in Estonia, with the population of 65 500 people. The county territory is 3609 sq km and we are the third largest county in Estonia. The county is divided into 15 municipalities (13 rural municipalities and 2 towns). Rural population is 55%.
Our industrial production is the most diverse among Estonian counties – main industrial sectors are logistics and transportation, food industry and metal manufacturing and wood industry. Others that we also have are furniture industry, production of metal constructions and timber components, sewing industry, railway construction, engineering industry, building materials industry, lime industry, waste management etc.
